FAQ: Frequently Asked Questions

We are an online Instagram Shop turned to an online website located in Kitchener, Ontario. We offer complimentary contactless pickup for any customers local to Kitchener, as well as a pickup location in North Waterloo by Conestoga Mall.

Additionally, we offer pickup locations in Cambridge with @cooltobekindkids, Hamilton with @noas_nook, Brantford with @thriftyolive13, Burlington with @thetinytreasureshoppe and Ancaster with @shop__kindred on instagram!

New items drop monthly and are announced on my Instagram (@second.love.kw) and to Mailing List Subscribers (sign up at the bottom of the page).

You will get an email with pickup instructions.

You must have an Instagram account to arrange pickups with each shop partner. Please message them when you are planning to pickup.

All items for sale are secondhand and preloved. They are either thrifted or from consignment. Since they are secondhand, items will have a condition description listed, with any flaws described. Due to the uniqueness of items, all items are FINAL SALE.

Since all items are preloved, they come with wear and tear. For each item listed, the condition is described with any major flaws pointed out.

Generally, condition descriptions are as follows:

• LIKE NEW: giftable
• EUC: excellent, used condition (minor marks/ signs of use but very little / hardly noticeable)
• GUC: good, used condition (you can tell it's secondhand, but your kids don't care!)
• PLAY: very worn, still playable!

It depends on the brand, condition and current secondhand market value of the product. Prices of items can change over time, just like the prices of houses (although much more affordable!). So an item sold now could be sold for more or less money in a few months.

Generally, though, I price most items at half or less than the original item when purchased brand new.

We currently only offer local Consignment options (with drop offs available at our Shop Swap Partners).

We accept good-quality, long-lasting, books and toys. Specific brands we love are Lovevery, Melissa & Doug, Hape, Grimms, and more!
